Advaning PN Series (Door Polycarbonate Awning)

Advaning PN Series door awnings are designed to divert rain and snow away from your doors and windows while maintaining a contemporary classic profile. Its arched design gently enhances the exterior aesthetics of homes and businesses. Durable and ultra-lightweight fiberglass reinforced nylon brackets hold the solid polycarbonate sheet securely in place.

Advaning PN Series door awnings are also connectable for custom lengths and proven for DIY’ers or Professionals, safe, reliable, and simple to assemble.

Warranty:

ADVANING 5-YEAR LIMITED MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY FOR LUXURY SERIES RETRACTABLE AWNINGS

LIMITED WARRANTY COVERS THE FOLLOWING: Advaning’s warranty provides coverage for all of its original Advaning Luxury Series awnings that are sold and installed within the United States of America and Canada to be free of defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty only applies to the original owner/purchaser of the product and is only effective on a basis of sixty (60) months or five (5) years from the date of purchase. Any defects or issues presented to Advaning within the warranty period will be promptly handled by Advaning customer service and resolved within a reasonable timeframe. Entire awning framework, including extruded & die-cast component parts, springs, & cables, are covered. Should the purchaser/original owner submit a warranty claim within the warranty period, Advaning will provide a resolution option that may include new replacement parts, instructions for repair, or both. Powder coated and painted finishes are excluded and are NOT covered under this limited warranty. During the warranty period, owners in Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico are covered for parts/replacements at no charge. However, the owner would assume all shipping/handling and applicable duties and taxes. Advaning’s Warranty does not cover any return shipping or prepaid return labels.

Should the purchaser/owner notify Advaning within the warranty period from the date of the original purchase and after being deemed defective by Advaning, will the warranty claim be resolved by either of the following:

  • A. Defective component replacement. (shipping charges may apply). 
  • B. Detailed instructions for correcting the issue. Or both A & B. 

WARRANTY LIMITATION AND EXCLUSION: The warranty will be in effect once the awning is fully paid for. Advaning is not responsible for damage due to faulty modifications, installation, carrier damage, or re-installation. Advaning assumes no liability for damages sustained to any structure to which the awning is attached, or to any properties located beneath or adjacent to said structure. This limited warranty does not cover damage from ice, snow, hail, high winds, vandalism, neglect, improper use, or any natural disaster. This limited warranty does not cover degradation due to salt corrosion, oxidation, and chipping or peeling of the paint. Powder coated finishes and painted finishes are excluded and are NOT covered under this limited warranty. ANY MODIFICATIONS OR ALTERATIONS TO THE PRODUCT WILL VOID THIS WARRANTY. ADVANING, INCLUDING ITS SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES, SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IN ANY MANNER WHATSOEVER FOR INJURY, DEATH OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY AS A RESULT OF INTENTIONAL OR ACCIDENTAL MISUSED FOR PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE PRODUCT WAS NOT DESIGNED FOR.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE ADVANING LIMITED WARRANTY: This warranty is non-transferable and does not cover product purchases from the initial buyer to a third party. This warranty does not cover incidental damages, such as loss of time, loss of use, or installation costs of defective, repaired, or replaced products. This warranty does not cover products that have been damaged or rendered defective as a result of: (a) neglect, abuse, or misuse. (b) Modification of the original product. (c) Improper use or installation using products not manufactured by Advaning. (d) Service provided by anybody other than Advaning. (e) Abnormal mechanical or environmental conditions. (f) Unusual physical or electrical stress -including failure or fluctuation of electrical power, lighting, static electricity, fire, tornadoes, or other natural disasters.

WARRANTY CLAIMS: If you experience a problem with your Advaning product, contact Advaning Customer Service Representative’s by email at service@advaning.com, by phone at 714-622-2600 Monday ~ Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm PST or by submitting a Warranty Claim via our website; www.advaning.com/warranty-support/

  • Prior to contacting Advaning for warranty claims, please have your model name/number, original proof of purchase, photos, and or videos of the issue experienced ready for our customer service team to assess.
  • Submitting a claim will not extend or alter the warranty coverage period.
  • Any work done by a 3rd party or non-authorized Advaning agent will void the warranty.

SHIPPING DAMAGES: On the occasion of a damage claim caused by the shipper/shipping company, the owner must contact their point of sale and the delivering freight carrier within 3 days of signing for the delivery in order to make a claim. Failure to report freight damage and missing parts in a timely manner & in accordance with the carrier’s guidelines may result in you incurring all costs. Likewise, there are 5-days from the time of delivery to report missing parts to Advaning.

THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IS IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE GIVEN, ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR BREACH OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR WARRANTY CREATED BY LAW IS DISCLAIMED. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL ADVANING, INCLUDING ITS SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WITH RESPECT TO ECONOMIC LOSS, INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, WHETHER AS A RESULT OF BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you in whole or in part. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I know my order has shipped?

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail.  This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase.  As soon as we receive your order, we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment.  If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail.  If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment. If, for some reason, there is a delay in stock, we will contact you before accepting payment.

When will my order ship?

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will ship within 2-5 business days from the date of your order.  We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.  If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at sales@outdoorfurnituresupply.com.

Cancellations (Before Order Ships)

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible so we can refund you in full before your order leaves the warehouse. Reach agents during business hours at 858-298-2371, the chat in the bottom right, or email sales@outdoorfurnituresupply.com any time. 

Cancellations of Custom Orders

Custom or made to order products cannot be canceled or refunded as these products are put into production specifically for your order

These units, are custom made to your specification or created once you order. Once you place your order they start building your unit. Your warranty will guarantee you a fully functional and operational product. If it is not clear whether your order is custom or made to order, please message or call us. 

All sales are final for Custom made and Made-to-order products.

Refunds and Returns

If you need to exchange your product, you may do so. You, as the customer, are responsible for any shipping costs throughout any returns and exchange processes. 

Not all orders are available for return once they have shipped. We order our products directly from the manufacturer. Therefore, if the manufacturer will not permit us to return a product, we cannot offer you a return. This often varies on a case-by-case basis; please reach out to us if you would like specific information on your brand and/or product. 

Due to drastically increasing LTL/freight shipping costs, any outright returns will incur 25% cancellation fee + return shipping costs. If you are replacing the product with something else, we may be able to help you cover some of the costs depending on the product. 

Shipping Times

We promise to do our best to get your order to you as soon as possible.  We provide estimated shipping times on the product pages based upon what our suppliers and freight companies tell us, and those estimated shipping times may change or vary without notice (Due to supply chain issues, the steel mills behind on making metal, the manufacturers delayed because of the mills, the overwhelmingly demand on shipping, factory/warehouse and dock workers and so on). 

Order delays have proven to be unavoidable and outside of Outdoor Furniture Supply's control. While this might be frustrating, we ask you to please be patient and understanding with us in these tough times. We thank you for your business and appreciate your patience. 

 

Warranty

Warranties vary depending upon the manufacturer - see individual product pages for details. Warranty damages occur over time and from use. If an item was damaged upon arrival, and not reported within 30 days, that is not a warranty claim.

Excellent product and customer service. Looks great, and I hope it stays that way.

The installation manual could have been a bit clearer. The parts bag labeled "front & back fixing bar" is shown as "front bar" and "back bar" in the manual. The parts bag labeled "rubber sealants for aluminum strips" is shown as "rubber strip: long" in the manual. The parts bag labeled "rubber sealants for brackets" is shown as "rubber strip: short" in the manual. It took some repeated examination of the parts and sketches to verify that I was correctly identifing everything. Otherwise the installation instructions were excellent.

The package came with 5/16-in. x 3 1/2-in lag screws and washers, and made of stainless steel which is real nice. However, I needed 6-inch long lags to reach the solid framing of the house. That length required an extra long pilot drill bit. My long bit has a slightly larger diameter than specified for 5/16 lags, so I had to use 3/8-inch lag screws, which the brackets were adequately sized to accept.

The manual says to put a carpenter's level on top of the canopy to make sure the lag screw pilot holts are properly positioned. I found it more practical to level and tack a batter board to rest the brackets on, and then mark the pilot holes. Having that board in place also make it far easier to hold the canopy steady while tightening the screws during final installation.

This awning was a pain to put together. I recommend using a rubber mallet and a block of wood to get the plexiglass in the frame. Works great, looks awesome above my front door.
